After years of having her chronic gynecological pain dismissed, a nurse takes a revolutionary new drug promising relief, only to discover the treatment comes at a cost.

SYNOPSIS

SYRINGE follows Neenah, a young nurse living with chronic gynecological pain and years of being dismissed by doctors. When she sees the effects of Nyrophil – a revolutionary new drug that promises to eliminate women’s pain – Neenah finally feels like this could be an actual breakthrough in women’s healthcare. Given the chance to trial the drug herself, she takes it. At first, she feels invincible, until she realises the drug hasn’t just taken away her pain, it has taken away her ability to feel anything at all. Injuries appear on her body without her noticing, while infomercials loop around her and doctors insist everything is normal. When a young girl is brought in for treatment, Neenah must confront a system where each option comes at a cost: live with the pain or feel nothing at all. With no real alternative, she administers the injection, knowing the system was not built with women in mind.
